My partner and I hardly agree on anything, from as small as what to have for dinner to finding a home we both love. Though we saw many homes (and even put in an offer on two of them) we never really felt the same about one. I would love it and he would hate it or vice versa. He loves the lack of worry/upkeep that a new home provides and I love the character that an old home offers. Needless to say, Cassindy had a challenge. After months of searching, we gave up. We told Cassindy we were going to try again in a year and we deleted all of our home-searching apps. Months go by and out of the blue, Cassindy sends me a link to a dream. I say "dream" because only in my dreams would I have ever believed there would be a home that fit both my partner and my tastes - an old home, with plenty of character that had been fully renovated! We went to look at it that same evening. I stayed quiet throughout - I didn't want to seem too overeager as I wanted to know my partner's reaction first and at the end, he quietly says "I like this house" (which for him is basically screaming that he loves it). Cassindy couldn't believe it either! The home owners were accepting an offer the next day and Cassindy got everything done in such a short time so we wouldn't miss out on the ONE home that we both loved completely. Even through all of the issues we had with closing, with the date moving not once, but twice - she never lost hope. Who would have thought that your realtor would need to give you multiple pep talks throughout the journey of home buying! Now, we are settling into our first home as a family and I couldn't be more grateful for Cassindy for never giving up even when we had.
